Meet Amy & Tom: The Duo Behind the Lens 📸

The photography journey kicked off in 2008 when Amy was a new mom in Calgary, looking for a creative outlet while chasing an adventurous baby girl. Fast forward to five years ago, her husband Tom hopped on board. He jumped into photoshoots, learned at lightning speed, and instantly became Amy's biggest supporter. Together, they quickly became a dynamic duo! When he is not helping behind the camera, Tom runs his financial services firm here in town, Tommensense Financial (ts-financial.ca).

In 2014, Amy photographed her first local youth sports team, the Peace River Skating Club. That was her ultimate turning point—she was hooked! Since then, she has trained directly under elite industry icons Brad Deel and Rocktown Media, along with Zamani Feelings, Cheryl Bashore, and Leroy Tademy, to master the dramatic lighting and techniques that make everyday youth athletes look like world-class pros.



Their absolute favorite part of the job? Watching kids' faces light up with pure awe when they show them their shots on the back of the camera during a session.

A Few Things to Know About Them:

• 💨 The Legend of the Smoke Machine: They bring a signature fog machine to their sports sessions for that epic, stadium-level flair. Legend has it, it's completely voice-activated!
• 🏒 A House Divided: While they are united behind the lens, they share a fierce hockey rivalry. Tom bleeds Toronto Maple Leafs blue, and Amy is a die-hard Detroit Red Wings fan. Their ultimate dream is to shoot a game between both teams!
• 💡 Investing in Peace Region Youth: Their passion for the next generation goes way beyond picture day. Right in the studio, Amy runs a Kids Photography Club (ages 8–14). She is also the founder of the Peace Region Future Founders Club, a community group that teaches young entrepreneurs business basics and funds their startup supplies and trade show fees!

Whether they are on the pool deck, inside the rink, or in the studio, Amy and Tom are here to celebrate your kids, give back to local schools, and bring a fun, unforgettable experience to the Peace Region. They can't wait to work with your family!
